| Neoprene counter lungs or back mounted I am after doing one of two things:- Either getting new neoprene counterlungs made to reduce the profile of my existing AP ones. or Connecting my existing AP lungs and mounting them behind me ie inserting quick release clips and turning them round and attaching them to the rear of my waist band and possibly getting a narked at 90 adapter fitted to my O2 side - does anyone have any advise on eith of these two approaches - especially in the context of using with side slungs etc. |

Its never been used. ATB Mark

| Re: Neoprene counter lungs or back mounted I had the Neo lungs. ![]() ![]() They were very smart looking and probably did something to reduce my frontal profile but i cant say they made a significant diferance over the medium lungs on offer from AP. Rear mounted is the best way to go if this issue bothers you. I tried DaveTs design rear mounted system (See Colinicky for more details) it was excelent but its not in production yet. The Paull Channing option is the next best thing. ATB Mark

| Re: Neoprene counter lungs or back mounted I can only say it's been a relief to get rid of the OTS lungs. I have the Paul Channing kit and though it makes the yellow box sit a further 4-5cm of your back, it is still very nice to dive with. |

| Re: Neoprene counter lungs or back mounted Hi As chasey says I have a version of dave t's bmcl which I love to bits but it took a while to get it as I liked it .There are a lot of things to be considered about bmcl design . Give dave t a pm & ask him ,he was saying the other day on a thread that he had possibly found someone to make them & then to sell them .I also use the manual add system that John manufactured for me on both O2 & Dil ,in my case due to using a custom divers sport harness the button/hoses are routed around my waist band so clearing the chest even more . | Re: Neoprene counter lungs or back mounted Hi I'm also using Paul Channing BMCL. I've made a few deep dives with it -70, -80 mtrs deep and it is fantastic. Also have made some swalow dives -8, -12 mtrs and also fantastic. The biggest diference for me are two: The trim and the fealling of the gas in the lungs is more noticiable so you can control it easier. Hope that can help you. Best Mikel
