Bad Timekeeping!

Beanie's dive watch - Citizen Aqualand and an electronic stopwatch for the demo dive. My first post in the thread refers to the timing of the original dive

For the demo dive; without setting up a precision method of testing the timer this was the best we could do given the resources available. Unfortunately, I do not have the time this evening to accurately set up a test rig

I understand the problems with user error etc and also method error; which would usually account for the 1-2 sec timing discrepancy.

well I finally downloaded my dives from Sunday. v30 Nitrox

Dive 1 was 40 minutes on the VR3. v30 shows 40 minutes in the header, but only 25 minutes in the graph and in the logbook

Dive 2 was 24 mins on the VR3 but only 19 minutes on the graph and logbook. Header again correct at 24 mins

files off to APD this morning to see if it helps

Simon, have you heard anything back from AP yet?

I've still not heard anything; I would of thought that I might of received an update by now, its over a week since I sent my files off

Lou, I got a response from Nicky on some other questions on the same email, so they've definitely seen it, but no response on the time issues yet.

I'm running v30 trimix and the timing is dead on with both my VR3 and my watch and the log.

I have a feeling that it is just the Nitrox that is affected, which both Simon and I are running on the Vision. I have still not heard anything back from AP at the moment.

I was being cautious in my initial posting by not saying it was only 'x, y or z' software as you never know with these things...

As you appear not to have had the same problem with the Trimix software, it looks more likely that only the Nitrox is affected.

But I leave that down to AP to determine

Folks...in the middle of my Mod 1 course here. Proud owner of an Inspiration w Vision electronics. Opted for the Bottom Timer option (as already had VR3). Doing course with two Evolutions c/w Trimix option on handset.

All units are using version 30 software. My unit logged considerably shorter dive time than the VR3 on all the dives (exact numbers escape me at moment...will double check tomorrow). The two trimix units logged the dives correctly

Looks like it is not just the Nitrox unit being effected.

Other than that I am hooked already!!!
