| Inspiration in cold water Please, advise how to adjust Inspiration/Evolution for using in cold water : -2 C (salt water) - +4 C Last edited by AlexanderRusSub : 30th September 2007 at 22:16. Reason: Specify temperature |

The mods I suggest is to put in a long thin bag into the inhale counterlung, and fill it with hot water before the dive (you can add a P Port to the top of the bag to do this). This keeps the inhale counterlung from sticking together, and heats the gas up so it reduces the incidence of the inhale mushroom valve sticking. The mod is quite complex, so rather than cut the Inspo bags, using a neoprene bag built from scratch, and put the hot water bag inside it using a polyurethane film tube, is probably easier. The other area is the solenoid, watching it does not block when the equipment is being set up. The water on the solenoid can freeze easily as the solenoid opens, blocking the solenoid. When the Rebreather is fully running, there is enough heat from the scrubber to keep it clear. Alex |

Can't you heat the CL from the outside, and prebreathe up to operating temperature before getting in?The other area is the solenoid, watching it does not block when the equipment is being set up.
