What is true volume of Inspiration cylinders

Hello. Can someone please tell me what is the true volume (or as close as anyone knows) for the cylinders on an Inspiration? I am in the USA, so I think in terms of Cu. Ft. at rated pressure: either 2400 psi as stamped, or the 3000 psi that we really SHOULD fill them to. What is the real volume? Alternatively, if someone knows the true internal volume in Liters (unpressureized), I can do the math.

There 3 litre cylinders

well they are in there home country

filled to 22 bar that gives 3*232 = 696 litres

the usual cylinders marrked 2400psi sp with the tc marking of 184 bar have an internal capacity of 122 cu inches /2l (or 183cu inches / 3l). (most of these in the US DO NOT have a + rating), but the CTC certifies it as a 184 bar (2668 psi) cylinder

If your trying to get that anal about capacity remember your diluent cylinder and your oxygen cylinder will not have the same capacity due to the different compressibility of the gases..

3000psi is 206.9 bar = 207 bar

so 207 x 3 = 621 liters = 621/28.311=21.9 cu ft
for oxygen the compressibility factor at 3000psi is 0.947 so 21.9/0.947= 23.13 cuft of o2

for air the factor at 3000psi is 1.032 so 21.9/1.032 = 21.2 cu ft of air

for trimix you have to fiqure out the factor by figuring the portion of each gas then calculate the overall factor (n2=1.054 and he = 1.104 at 3000 psi)

My answer to students regarding cylinder size is "the size of a rebreather cylinder doesn't matter for mere mortals, any size is more than enough if you don't bail to dil and unless you are rather close to the surface it's not enough if you do bail to dil."
