DSV Servicing

Does any body have a schematic/manual/instructions for stripping anf servicing the DSV on an Inspiration? I've done a search on RBW and can't find anything but I may have missed something ....

Its very easy to do. Once you open it you will se how the parts fit together. Just clean everything and lube o-rings and put back together. Good luck

One more thing - on mine, the right tightness means that the little screws holding the hoses on don't line up. So I had a tiny leak in the mouthpiece at first, until I changed the positioning, tightening properly.

So make sure you put it together to the right tightness, not necessarily lining the screws up.

Plastic on plastic has a certain tolerance I guess...

It goes without saying that stripping the DSV for servicing is something your Instructor should have shown you how to do, right?

One tip to consider is when you disassemble the DSV you will see an oval O ring, well it is not oval and can be a b*tch to replace (read: it pops out) so before thinking of removing it just visually inspect it and if it doesn't look old (look for cracks in the O ring) just lightly lub it and keep it there.

Other than tat its is fairly logical to service.
