| Classic inspi hanset question. Hi, Two weeks ago, 25 minutes in a dive, i heard a beep and the master hanset was off. The slave became master and i turn on the hanset again and i finish the dive without problems. 75 minutes total dive. This weekend preparing the inspi for a new dive day, i had a low batery warnig. I tested the bateri...6.14v but anyway i changed it and everything OK. When i turn on the inspi a low batery warning happend again. I turn off the hanset, on again and everything was ok. I went diving, and 70 minutes in the dive, in the deco, i heard a beep, look to the hanset and a low batery warning again. I've chequed the baterys, OK, the batery conections, OK, the hansets, no water inside and no craks (at least i can see them). Any idea about what is happenig??? Best Mikel

| Re: Classic inspi hanset question. Have you tried to give the battery contacts a good cleaning? I use the rubber at the end of a pencil, that always works for me without the use of solvent spray. Other than that, your microswitch in the bottom of the handset could be corroded without you are able to see it If it's only that, it is relativly cheap to get fixed at AP. |

| Re: Classic inspi hanset question. Give both the ones on the battery itself a good cleaning, as well as the ones in the battery chamber. Best eleminate all the possible sources of bad connections. good luck Johnny |

| Re: Classic inspi hanset question. Hi, I have to agree with johnny especially if its the older battery box... If so use a pencil eraser on the contacts..OK, i'm going to try to clean them propely... Take the tape in the botton of the box off and i can't see the connectors because there are with silicone.Inside the box, the connectors of the bateries are springs, and i don't know how to cleam them... Thanks Mikel

| Re: Classic inspi hanset question. If contact cleaning doesn't help, then I think the microswitch corrosion sounds likely. I don't know what would be quicker, sending the lid back to AP or getting replacement switches sent to you. They are very cheap and it's a pretty easy fix so if you don't want to miss your dives at least you have another option.
