Which 1st stages ?

I have an 18 month old Vision what 1st stages did AP use ? Might they be Apeks DST's ?

They'll most likely be (mine are) APEKS UST4, Martin has indicated that "Dry Sealed" shouldn't be used.

[Edit: My Vision was new April 2006 & came fitted with Apeks stages]

APD are now fiting their own 1st stages.

APD is making their own first stages as well. They came with my last Evolution (about 2 years ago).

Yup, seem to be pretty standard now. All the recent Visions and Evos I've seen, including mine, have the new APD ones. I heard a rumour that they went back to Apeks for a short while, when they ran out of theirs, but normally they only use theirs.

It's easy to see if you have the Apeks ones or the APD (FS101) ones.
The APD FS101 ones:
- have big water openings on the membrane side;
- have the 4 LP ports very close together on the rotating turret;
- do not have a shiny chrome finish, but a (better, because not flaky) nickel plated finish, which looks a bit dull.

See pictures below, and you'll see what I mean.

Thanks all .
I have the UST4's .Now all I need to do is get them serviced & hope it stops the Dil one leaking !

Assume you've checked the inter-stage pressure?

Yes checked & double checked with different gauges .
The problem is that out of 11 dives last week in Scapa it leaked on 3 of the dives,not consecutive.But by the time I had removed the unit it had stopped.
So we resorted to leaving it leaking & jumping in so my buddy could check to see were it was leaking ,but misteriously everytime I hit the water the damned thing stopped leaking

Aside from the visual cues, the APD are ~2x the weight of Apeks...
