New Inspo Diver

Hello all,
I just thought I would introduce myself, my name is Will and I am the owner of Pirate Divers in Boynton Beach Florida. We have just become the Platnium Dealer for SDS/APD here in South Florida. What I am really excited about is that I ordered my personal Inspo CCR and it should be arriving in a few weeks and the training right after. I (like all of you guys i suspect) am very excited about getting into CCR diving. I just thought I would say hello, and I hope to get to know you guys better very shortly. If we can help you guys with anything, please dont hesistate to contact me, we have all the parts in stock and will get it to you guys ASAP. Thanks and enjoy the deep.

Well I am happy to report the Inspo go here today. FEDEX delivered it about 1:00 pm EST. All is well with the unit, nothing was messed up in shipping. I had ordered the unit with the black cover, however they sent it with the standard yellow one, but called SDS and the black one is on the way.

I know it probably isnt good for a grown man to be acting like a kid at christmas, but just cant help it. I havent been this excited since my very first OW dive, my first wreck dive or any of my other firsts. I will be posting about the course and the first dives with the new Inspo as soon as I get them done.

To all who have responded thus far, I appreciate that and maybe we will all be able to dive together at some point in the future. If your travels ever bring you to South Florida, please let me know and I will have you a seat on the boat.

Welcome to the board, congrats on your new unit, and good luck with your class. This is a friendly place where you can learn and learn and learn. I get to S. Fl every now and then and will stop by.

Well I thought I would update everyone on the course, I am half-way through. I wish my schedule would permit me to have done the course all at one time, but alas I am still making progress.

We had some rough seas here at home so my instructor and I had to relocate to Key Largo. My instructor, John Conway from SDS also brought along Rod from International Divemasters and a long time friend Tom from Maryland. I have to say both guys were very supportive as I had my growing pains on the unit the first couple of dives.

I also have to give a BIG THANKS, to Chris and Allison from Silent World Dive Center in Key Largo. They were the best of hosts and their staff Lorilee, AJ and Gary were super about having the "rebreather guys" in the middle of thier normal rec folks. The folks at Silent World were very very supportive of anything we needed and really went out of their way to accomadate all of us. I am hoping that Rod will see this and maybe post a few pics that he took.

I will leave you with the thought, I was knelt down on the helipad of the USS Speigel Grove at 88 feet for 50 minutes with my instructor doing skills, and I have to say that once I got the "yellow box of fun" below about 30 feet, she flew like a dream. I cannot wait to finish up and become a full CCR diver. I am proud to be in the process to join the rest of you in this awesome part of our sport and I have to say "Thank You" to John, Rod, Tom, Silent World for helping me reach this milestone in my diving career.

Congrats Will, and welcome to the "Dark Side". You did very well during your weekend and I enjoyed being part of your first Rebreather experience. You are going to make a great Rebreather Diver and I have the pictures to prove it.......Now if I can just figure out how to post them.......

Looking forward to seeing you and diving your backyard. I am burning you a CD of the pics, it will be on the way ASAP. I hope that I was helpful to you in your class because I really enjoyed our time together. Thanks to Silent World for all their work and support.
