| Re: New Inspo Diver Well I thought I would update everyone on the course, I am half-way through. I wish my schedule would permit me to have done the course all at one time, but alas I am still making progress. We had some rough seas here at home so my instructor and I had to relocate to Key Largo. My instructor, John Conway from SDS also brought along Rod from International Divemasters and a long time friend Tom from Maryland. I have to say both guys were very supportive as I had my growing pains on the unit the first couple of dives. I also have to give a BIG THANKS, to Chris and Allison from Silent World Dive Center in Key Largo. They were the best of hosts and their staff Lorilee, AJ and Gary were super about having the "rebreather guys" in the middle of thier normal rec folks. The folks at Silent World were very very supportive of anything we needed and really went out of their way to accomadate all of us. I am hoping that Rod will see this and maybe post a few pics that he took. I will leave you with the thought, I was knelt down on the helipad of the USS Speigel Grove at 88 feet for 50 minutes with my instructor doing skills, and I have to say that once I got the "yellow box of fun" below about 30 feet, she flew like a dream. I cannot wait to finish up and become a full CCR diver. I am proud to be in the process to join the rest of you in this awesome part of our sport and I have to say "Thank You" to John, Rod, Tom, Silent World for helping me reach this milestone in my diving career. Will I am in you area now, so if you need any assistance let me know. Regards, Bill

| Re: New Inspo Diver Greetings again, Well everybody the C-Card is in the mail. I just got the "keys" so to speak from my instructor John Conway (many thanks to him). I just wanted to finish up my little chronicle about the journey into the realm of rebreather diving. The second and final weekend was here at home in Boynton Beach, and the diving as usual was out of this world. We did all reef dives and suprisingly there was almost no current here in sunny South Florida. Everyone had a great time and the last day of skills was really a test. John put me through the paces and really drove home the points that one would need to be successful with this kind of diving. I really must admit, I really had no idea what I didnt know about diving untill I took this course. Everyone I talked to prior to this course made the same statement "Its like starting all over again", man how true that is. I also would like to say "Thank You" to Tom Schultz and Rod Rogers for being my dive buddies and for sharing in this experience. I know it was a major ordeal to make the two trips to south florida, but I hope it was well worth it. I look forward to seeing many of you at DEMA, I plan on being at the Rebreather party, so please look me up. Many thanks to those who have read the posts, and I hope to be in many more discussions. Thanks, Will ![]()
