| Re: source for ITW microswitch? What were your symptoms and do you have pictures of the insides of the old switches please? Glad your unit is up and running again. The symptoms was a dead handset ( well it started with needing many tries to get it to work). Opened it up and measured over the switch, no current= dead switch. Really sorry, no pictures Do you have a problem with yours?

I have two from Farnell(.co.uk) sitting next to me*. Replacing the batteries with new ones works so there is extra resistance in the power lines in my unit somewhere. However, I've been told to check the battery box before digging into the handsets as the solder sometimes corrodes at this end. (Undo the nut at the bottom. This releases a plastic cover and there are the terminal posts with four wires soldered to it. Unpotted...!) cheers christian I'm hoping that the problem may be in corrosion at this end. If re-soldering stops the problem then that's as far as I go. If not, I'll open up the case and replace the switches. *Farnell have a £20 minimum order. However, they do sell some decent NiMH batteries, so I upgraded my backup torch. They do 10,000mAH D cells!
