Energizer CRP2, tip / question I used to only use Varta with no problems. I tested Panasonic since they were a lot cheaper but two of the batteries didn't perform well. I read that Energizer is recomended by AP and when looking around for low prices I found this eBay-store; Energizer e2 CR-P2 CRP2 223 6v Lithium Photo Battery x2 on eBay, Single Use Batteries, Batteries Battery Chargers, Consumer Electronics (item 220135378671 end time 29-Aug-07 12:00:00 BST) Has anyone bought from this store before? Are you satisfied with Energizer in your Inspiration classic? // Blomman

Sorry no experience of this site but another hot tip for those of you in the UK, I don't know if it's nationwide, but both my local Sainsburys are selling Energizer CRP2Ps for £1.99, needless to say I've been clearing their shelves everytime I go in. Graham

Re: Energizer CRP2, tip / question Blomman, et all, steer clear of the panasonics. It's been said in many other posts and uttered by AP, panaosonics do not have the proper decay characteristics to be reliable in the vision. In plain english they are crap for use in the Vision! as you probably know, the newest version of the vision software has a nifty load tester that seems to have helped remove much of the battery quandry. I prefer Duracell Ultras, made for the rapid refresh rate required by high speed digital cameras... and thus seem to lend themselves particularly useful to the high speed refresh rate that is ideal for the heavy demands of the solenoid, particularly on ascent. Should be in stock in about a week.

I understand that Vision is picky with batteries, I've read that in a few threads here at RBW. I was more interested in the Energizer batteries and how they work with the Inspo classic. I am sure they are OK since AP recommend them but it would feel better to check with the members here if they have any input before I order some ;-) // Blomman |

Re: Energizer CRP2, tip / question Hi Blomman I recently ordered and received a bunch on Energizer CRP2s from the ebay store you mentioned - no problems. I haven't used them yet but expect they'll be fine. Energizer is one of the AP recommended brands. Battery use-by date is 2016. This is a good option for me as CRP2s are not easy to get locally. Even with freight included, the price from these guys is about half what I would pay locally. Cheers Skip
