| Scrubber material question 408 & 812 Ok, so we're going on hols and the resort only has 408 and 812 grade. I'm presuming that 812 would be the best choice for use with a vision? Or am I wrong? thx vid

| Re: Scrubber material question 408 & 812 8-12 mesh is the same size grains as the 797 from molecular products. 4-8 mesh is the larger size. 8-12 is best for the vision, but 4-8 is useable if you cant get anything else, just remember that it won't give you as much duration. HTH Simon A |

| Who loves ya, baby ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Scrubber material question 408 & 812 I made a post regarding different granule sizes a while. The smaller granules are usually used in units with front mounted counterlungs as they offer a bit more breathing resistance. The mesh numbers denote the number of openings in the screen per linear inch Dräger Dive Sorb is 5-9 mesh (between 2 mm and 4 mm) Grace Sodasorb and Molecular Sofnolime come in 4-8 mesh (2,38 and 4,76 mm) as well as Sodasorb in 6-12 mesh (1,41 mm and 3,36 mm) and Sofnolime in 8-12 mesh (1,41 mm and 2,38 mm) Sperasorb would be somewhere between 5-7 or 5-8 mesh. More info on particle size.
