| RBW Member Current Rebreather/s: | O2 Counterlung Lung leak I have the smallest of leaks on the o2 side of my counterlung. It appears to be from a seam when in the water, now there is no noticable water ingress and I only see the leak when I exhale, the thing is the unit will hold a neg test all day and all night with no problems and the pos test is always good. Now do I need a new counterlung or can it be fixed, if its the seam do you reckon it can fixed or just the one bladder replaced? Cheers Ferg |

| Re: O2 Counterlung Lung leak Could it be trapped gas inside the shell, but outside the actual lung itself? As you exhale you are probably pushing the gas out of the seam, but if it's holding pos and neg tests it seems very unlikely it's a leak in the lung inner material. Try taking the lung out of the outer shell and sucking a negative and a gentle positive, see whether there's anything which could be causing it. But I'd be very surprised. Digs. |

I'll put it all back together and see what it could be. |
