| Consent Issued! Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Vision on the wrist? Started on the wrist. Well it came with some little straps, so .... Anyway, it was a pain. It now lives clipped onto the chest strap, I can use both thumbs to operate the buttons and I don't need to chase it round my wrist to read it. And as an added bonus, I don't have a loop of hose hanging out that snagged on just about everything! Oh, and I can also move it far enough away from my eyes to read it. I really must get some lenses in my mask. ![]() |

| New Member Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Vision on the wrist? Anyone mind posting a pic of how the clip is held on? It is a pain having it on the wrist sometimes unless I can wrap the cord around 'just right' and really do the straps up tight. I tried the stock strap that it came with but found it hung too low. I imagine you just push the shock cord through where the straps were then tie it off with a snap hook in the loop of shock cord, is this correct?

| Re: Vision on the wrist? Bungeed to the D-ring on the inside of the rightside C/L for me & Rita. Didn't even try it on my wrist; a first look showed it to be too bulky, and hard to use on the wrist. As to "how": a new Inspo/Evo Vision comes off-factory already with a piece of extra webbing and a clip, so you take off the wrist straps, fit the supplied alternative piece of webbing, with supplied clip, and there you go. I keep it relatively short, i.e. close to the body; just long enough to read it. I find it very easy to read & manipulate this way. In fact, I have even also moved my VR3 from my wrist (where it was hard to read, a.o. due to the HUD sitting in the field of vision, and I don't like it on my other wrist) to a similar setup: piece of webbing + clip to D-ring on inside of counterlung. Especially with a drysuit it is a PITA as you have to move it higher up your arm due to the large wrist collars. On a wetsuit you can move it lower, i.e. direction of your hand. So when drysuit diving it now hangs on the other D-ring on the inside of my C-lungs. Easy to handle the buttons, easy to read (as far as "easy to read" applies to a VR3 anyway....). I have made a spare female-part of the clip on the topside carrying handle of my Inspo, so I can easily clip the handset high up on the carrying handle after the dive / during transport, avoiding putting the unit on top of it by accident. I think the alu Vision handset can handle that better than the Classic ones, but still: I try to keep it as schratch-free as possible. Ciao, Tino. ciao, Tino. |

| Re: Vision on the wrist? The old saying of "One off the wrist is worth two in the bush" in this case is not true. I prefer mine clipped to front D Ring on left counter lung. Tried it on the wrist and it got on my t**ts ![]()

| Re: Vision on the wrist? Hi, If you choose the option of attaching the vision to a D-ring, what is the best place for the VR3? i'm looking for a very compact solution. Maybe the vision and the VR3 back to back attached? An idea? Regards. Bernard |

The display doesn't slide round this way and you only have to undo and do up one strap, which makes each end of the dive a bit easier.
