| New Member Current Rebreather/s: | Hi all, Uploaded the new Vision software yesterday, after not using the unit for about 5 months. Got a low battery warning (unsurprising after not having used it for so long) so changed both batteries, just to be sure. Did not do a full start up before uploading the software - just plugged in to PC. Having said that, the 'PC link' message displayed OK . On starting the unit up afterwards, however, the handset display is very odd. Random horizontal and vertical lines of the display are missing (see image). No idea what has caused this, and not sure if software or hardware issue. Head has been stored in my house so has not got cold or wet over Winter. The head is going off to AP for servicing anyway, so I'll ask them to investigate and fix this, but I wondered if anyone on the list has come across this display problem before and what might cause it? Cheers, Dennis |

| XLVI WC! ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Bizarre Vision problem I had the same on Saturday when I started mine up after a little while. I noticed that on mine it was one line of pixels that was missing. Turned it on and off a couple of times, and set the unit up, pre-breathed it etc having a play and it sorted itself out on about the 3rd attempt of turning it on. Wasn't going to mention it, as I just thought it was because my unit had been sat for a little while ![]()

| Re: Bizarre Vision problem Tony at AP recommended to me that you should remove the batteries if not using unit for a while. Wonder if this would have helped? |

Now it seems as if C1 and C2 each opens the solenoid for several seconds while displaying the battery voltage. /Sten |

| Re: Bizarre Vision problem Mine failed before the upgrade. Bad enough not to recover. APD replaced the LCD for free as i was the original owner of the unit. It seems to be fine since, however i'll be testing in anger at the w/e. |

| Re: No Bizarre Vision problem I uplodaded the new softwate today without problem. I'd recommend that you read the release notes that Nicky sent in her e-mail. There are several changes you should be aware of, as well as changes to the desktop software. After installation I noticed that the battery test was exteded. Now it seems as if C1 and C2 each opens the solenoid for several seconds while displaying the battery voltage. /Sten JT |

| New Member Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Bizarre Vision problem Hmmm. Oh well, the head is on its way to AP for its service and cell replacements so we'll see what they say. Given that the unit was correctly powered off, I'll be exceedingly annoyed if they try to charge me for the repair though. Dennis |

New batteries didn't make any difference, so AP have the head for repair, which they are doing under warrenty. (Which is pretty good as the units are 2 years old, although both had LED repairs a year ago which involved new heads, but not new displays)
