Classic Handset Problems

As its a bank holiday, I can't ring AP for advice but here is a summary of my problems.

Last week in Hurgarda, calibrated the unit fine MASTER and SLAVE showed. Then when I hit the water I got MASTER on both handsets. So I replaced the batteries and handset 1's display was a little slow i.e. letter by letter. But I noticed the total elapsed dive time had doubled when turning the unit on and the LOW SETPOINT changed to 0.8 . Tried Calibrating again and I got MASTER on handset 2 and RESET OTHER UNIT on the other handset, same if I tried it the other way. This saga lasted all week and I never got them both to work.

Any ideas......

Will probably send head to AP on tuesday.

Hi,

It sounds to me that you may have some water egress in the electronics!!

Everything is dry there appears to be no moisture in the electronics and the unit hadn't been used for a week before going to Egypt so no water should have been there. I am very careful with my handsets.

Same old same old. I had one switch off and the other waiting for data and exactly that happened to Howard yesterday. Its a "standard problem" no way of saying what it is so send it back to AP.

Howard's unit was just back from AP
