Hi,

I have been trying to find out myself and the answers I got is to cut the wires and cap the whole. Not sure if there's a more professional way to do it.

Just for fun, and while I'm testing some new bits, I have removed my buzzer and re-connected it inside the head. I'm of a similar opinion that it should work, and despite what other manufacturers think, I think an audible alarm is an extremely good warning device, probably the best.

Just remember, beyond 170m the buzzer may/will still fail - the pressure will affect it in the same way. So re-locating it isn't the solution - you need a different buzzer or a pressure-proof buzzer box. And it's normally in the loop anyway so sparks etc aren't an issue.

I'll let you know how it dives once my cold's gone.

Those of us that use Inspo's a long time know that the first Inspo's in fact HAD the buzzer in (or rather on) the head. It didn't work well, hence APD moved it "on a stalk".
