| Re: How deep has an Inspiration been dived successfully? Just for fun, and while I'm testing some new bits, I have removed my buzzer and re-connected it inside the head. I'm of a similar opinion that it should work, and despite what other manufacturers think, I think an audible alarm is an extremely good warning device, probably the best. Just remember, beyond 170m the buzzer may/will still fail - the pressure will affect it in the same way. So re-locating it isn't the solution - you need a different buzzer or a pressure-proof buzzer box. And it's normally in the loop anyway so sparks etc aren't an issue. I'll let you know how it dives once my cold's gone. ![]()

| Re: How deep has an Inspiration been dived successfully? Those of us that use Inspo's a long time know that the first Inspo's in fact HAD the buzzer in (or rather on) the head. It didn't work well, hence APD moved it "on a stalk". Nough said. Ciao, Tino. I'd like to know what can be used to cap the wire. Also, and maybe this is a damn stupid idea which just flashed in my mind, why not cap the hole and connect the buzzer inside the head (if it fits and does not make sparks). I am sure the sound will carry all the way in your mouth and in your ears (probably much louder then the external buzzer)! If there is a general consensus that the buzzer inside the head should work... I'll email APD to put this on the wish list! I'll start a different thread on this. |
