| Re: How deep has an Inspiration been dived successfully? Using a gland to seal the hole with a HUD coming out seems like an interesting idea. Does anyone know the size of the buzzer hole please? |

| Re: How deep has an Inspiration been dived successfully? What's happened to you project to replace the buzzer with a HUD? Hey Mike, yep that is the reason I was asking about capping.Mike Divetekoz dose a HUD ADD-ON for the inspo but you need either a forth cell holder or put an extra hole through the head. Pox states quite clearly it is an ADD-ON not a replacement for the buzzer. I dont see the need for an extra but I would like to replace the buzzer with either a vibrator like my old HUD or a HUD, both would need to be depth capable. At this stage the rEVO dream is in the lead, but I still have time. |

| Re: How deep has an Inspiration been dived successfully? Simon Liddiard did a 200 meter dive somewhere in Indonesia. I do not believe Simon had any difficulties, non that I remember hearing about. andibk Hello andibk, I dove with Simon many times on 2 trips and as of last May he had not hit 200M. Maybe you know something I don't-wouldn't doubt it-but I'm on his list. He's a great guy and an excellent diver and I learned a lot from him and I have tried to get him to post on RBW. One thing he told me was that even on dives down to 150M, he brought enough gas to do SCR for his deco as he was afraid of a CO2 hit. I don't know what this was based on, cautious intuiton or actual experience... -Andy |

Simon did a world record dive (I believe at the time) to 150M on his classic, and run time was 6 or 7 hours. He did most of his shallow water deco semi closed, but stayed on the loop for the entire dive. He has since been to 150m once or twice more with his Evo. His consumption rate is incredibly low, and is super fit. I believe the article in Mens Health magazine who covered the record dive called him a 'Bronzed God' (make sure you bring this up if you ever meet him, he loves it, he really does! )JD

| Re: How deep has an Inspiration been dived successfully? The Polish guy who unfortunately died recently did 200+ on his Classic. He removed his buzzer for the deep dive I believe. The hole in the lid is a weird triangular shape, so the best solution is to buy from APD the solenoid fittings (not the solenoid itself) for about a tenner. Then find a brass end cap to close that off. The buzzer can be removed at the joint in the cable (look for the heatshrink) and the ends sealed.

| Re: How deep has an Inspiration been dived successfully? I've heard that buzzer implosions have random effects. Could be a temporary continuous rebooting of both handsets. Could be a permanent issue. It's not something you can trust to behave in a predictable way apparently. So removing it is the safest way to prevent implosion symptoms. However, the audible buzzer is a very useful safety feature and I'd prefer to remove it only for the specific dive.
