| Evo 2 Litre Cylinders - Oz Approved? Looking to upgrade from an Inspo Classic to an Evo, but understand the cylinders cannot be stamped for the Australian market right now. Anyone able to shed some light on this? If correct, this makes travelling a bit complicated if LDSs can't legally fill the cylinders. Faber have the three litre cylinder in Australian approved form. What about a 2 litre version? MarkK Last edited by MarkK : 24th March 2007 at 12:36. Reason: spelling |

| Re: Evo 2 Litre Cylinders - Oz Approved? Mark .... just call mate, its only a phone it won't bit you ! We now have all the correct paperwork from APD and we are scheduled to meet with Workcover next week. The cylinders should be passed after that meeting BUT we are talking about Workcover so all bets are off. regards Baz |

Hey Baz We now have all the correct paperwork from APD and we are scheduled to meet with Workcover next week. If it's for NSW only does this mean someone will have to go through the same process for Queensland and the other States? Ross

Steve I bought my Inspiration 2nd hand from NZ and it came with U.K. tanks and valves. So far, I have not managed to get them tested/stamped in >2 years If you can, sell your tanks at home and get new ones from Southern Cross Divers in Sydney. Talk to Bazza (on this forum). Sorb prices vary. It would be better to check closer to when you are moving to Sydney.

| Re: Evo 2 Litre Cylinders - Oz Approved? ...I have not managed to get them tested/stamped in >2 years... What if someone has their own blending / filling system and just wanted their tanks hydro-tested (no stamp is necesary), is it possible ?Also, could I get on commercial dive boats if I use non-Oz-approved tanks ? (not that people would check, I know - just looking at the legal viewpoint) I am thinking that I would hate to replace 5 sets of Rebreather tanks that I have, plus all of the stages and twinsets... ![]()

| Re: Evo 2 Litre Cylinders - Oz Approved? Answers inserted below .... regards Baz What if someone has their own blending / filling system and just wanted their tanks hydro-tested (no stamp is necesary), is it possible ? No a cylinder must have a Workcover #/stamp for a hydro station to test the cylinder. You may get a ststation to test it but they will not stamp it, by the way we have full hydro's every blood year .... dumb or what ??? Also, could I get on commercial dive boats if I use non-Oz-approved tanks ? (not that people would check, I know - just looking at the legal viewpoint) To be honest yes as no one checks but, if they did check I would say that they would not be happy and may refuse you access to the boat ??? I am thinking that I would hate to replace 5 sets of Rebreather tanks that I have, plus all of the stages and twinsets... ![]() Regs are fine cylinders don't even think about bringing them to Oz. |
