ADV Servicing

Hi All,

What tool are people using to remove the locking ring on the ADV? My ADV is letting-by and I have the service kit but can't fathom out how to remove this locking ring. Do AP supply a tool (they didnt mention it when I borught the service kit)?

AP has the tools...give them a shout. If you do not have the manual, it is available upon request, the tools and order numbers are listed in it.

also, make doubly sure the leak is comming from the regulator and not from the Banjo fitting end...I just discovered that dilluent can leak into the loop from the Banjo end which should be a much easier fix, requiring only thorough cleaning of the shaft that the alan nut goes into and lubing of all three "O" rings, there are two up inside the fitting. just and FYI.

Part numbers & price from APD:

RBTool8 - ADV Diaphragm Tool: £15.60 (+vat, which is 17,5% in the UK)
RBTool9 - Demand Valve Slotted Tool: £12.73 (+vat)

The one you're talking about is the first one, but for proper servicing you need both.

Hi

I'm not 100% we are talking about the same topic, but I have this tool for servicing the ADV:

It is made by Guenter Friedrich from Germany. I think he also sold some of them to AP.
