![]() | 7.5 tonne lorry innnertube Hi Guys, I have just read the email that i recieved from RebreatherWorld.com. So I thought i would let you all know which one I use. I have been diving with it now for about 2 years. Off the South coast and abroad in Spain. I have found it to be a superb bit of kit to take travelling as you only have to fold it up and put it in your suit case, as long as I take my mini scrubber with me. Now that I have configured my straps properly i have no probs with it riding up around the back of my head anymore. The only other bit of kit you have to take with you is a punture repair kit. As i have found out in the past when penetrating wrecks sometimes the innertube can get snagged, which isn't a problem as long as I take my James Bond style Spare Air Bottle. If that does happen, once I am back on the boat I just get my punture kit and do a quick repair job, and I am ready for the next dive. Another good thing about diving with a 7.5 tonne lorry innertube round your neck is that if I run out of air I can just keep pumping the tube up with a good old bike pump. I tend to find the Muddy Fox one from Argos is the best as it is very small and can be stowed away nicely, and if you are diving off a rib the skipper will love you if he gets a tear in his tubes. When iI took it for the first dive I noticed it tasted a bit rank, obviously being a lorry innertube it would. So I have since discovered filling full of mint flavoured toothpaste works a treat, oh and I have to make sure I spread a little round the mouth piece too. The guys on the boats tend to fight over it as well at the end of the day when we are coming back into shore they do love to blow it up, attach a rope to it and use it as a donout off the back of the boat. Depending on which skipper we are using on the day. Right then guys thats my rebreather. Can anybody better that. I was thinking off putting it on the market this year so if anyone would like to purchase a real underwater exsperiance, watch this space. Also if anyone would like to have ago please just pm me. |

![]() | I take it then that the fact no one has replied to this post that sense of humours have fallen out of diving. Maybe the fact that I still know how to have fun whilst diving obviously makes me very unusual in the rebreather world. |

The bike pump from argos got me LMAO The visual of diving with a 7.5 tonne innertube around the neck finished me off, still, I picked myself back up off the floor but I'm gonna giggle about that for a while. Good effort. paul (fellow humourist)

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I prefer to sidemount two 3.5 tonne truck inner tubes. Not quite the duration but the back up gives me peace of mind. The annoying thing is the friggin beeping whenever I shift into reverse. |
