Adding a bc inflator to my rgu-fm. which side is "safest?" Inhale side of dsv or exhale side ?

I started off trying to attach a bc inflator hose to the counterlung, but ended up attaching the part with just inflator button and L.P. inlet between exhale one-way valve and exhale breathing hose. That way I inject diluent pretty much straight into scrubber. I think I'll keep it there, because it follows left lean-right rich, assuming I wish to add a second one for pure 02 injection on inhale side.
