| Diy Diffuser Anyone have plans for a drager bubble diffuser? Anyone built one. I really dont want to stuff stockings around the OPV. There has to be at least one person out there that has made one. If not can someone point me in the direction of a used one.

The small dome sitting on top of the Dräger FGT could fit on other Dräger Rebreather like a Dolphin. It screws on so a few holes would be required. They tend to show up at ebay.de now and then. Otherswise I know a guy that probably has a few of those as spares.Or why not buy some of that very porous pretty much like universal floor polishing pad material, I just found out about it and it is very handy as either a bubble diffuser or as a scrubber fill padding. |

| Re: Diy Diffuser Are you talking about the green pad? (Could you provide a quick link or pic, I think I know what you are talking about) I thought about using that but its the housing that I am looking at. PVC might work though. I thought of that FGT part but I havent seen any in awhile.

Maybe, there is a very small and slim piece of green pad in the OPV of my Azimuth. The stuff I bought here in Sweden looks very much like this: http://www.harvesterfloors.com/Merch...brasives_08_03 I guess something very similar could be found in any store selling floors and floor related products. I use it in a few DIY projects as pads in the scrubber, it is very light and easy to breath trough even when it is wet. The pads are about 2 cm thick and have a spring like behaviour so I use it to complement the spring loading and to keep the sorb and any dust in place. I found the same material in Duncan Price's D5 so the idea is from there http://www.sump4.com/rebreather/d5_s..._top_plate.jpg Some of that pad material and some PVC-piping with a lid and a few screws should work to make a cheap & easy DIY bubble deflector? |
