| Re: using a digital camera housing for a ppo2 meter Depending on what you are looking for… Ikelite sells parts (buttons and glands) and more than a few styles of cases. Recently, Ikelite cases have been moving faster than the digital cameras and Ikelite is limiting production run of digital cases. I was looking for an Olympus SP320 case and they are already out of production from Ikelite. There are a few other options. I have seen people use old battery canister cases and in a few cases people have seemed to use Lexan food containers with new hinges. Depends on what is available and the size that you need. A few people have shown in this section their version of such work. Good luck, Andrew

| Re: using a digital camera housing for a ppo2 meter I agree it is a total pain... If you are looking for electronics “ppO2 and voting logic” there are a few commercial choices that have just popped onto the market. Shearwater computer- it will read 3 cells, I think the estimate is $1300.00US. www.rebreather.ca Deep Diving is doing 3 sensor package with voting logic. I am guessing at $800.00Aussie or $600.00US. http://www.deepdiving.net/ HS explorer and the VR3 but both are single O2 sensors. Plus Paul has a PPo2 unit out called a 'rEvo' an that is anywhere from one to three sensors; if my memory is serving me right. For homebrewed stuff- there is some great stuff by Scuba Vixen… Good luck, Andrew

| Re: using a digital camera housing for a ppo2 meter hello Andrew, the rEvo is the rebreather we produce the PPO2 gauge we make is called the rEvodream (and is offcourse used on our rEvo) the rEvodream reads 2 cells (or only one if you want and change the settings), is always equipped with a HUD, fully settable and possible to calibrate without opening, no push-buttoms at all (completely shock-switch operated) pictures: http://www.rebreatherworld.com/photo...500/ppuser/397 regards paul .... leaving till saturday

| Re: using a digital camera housing for a ppo2 meter For a DIY project, I think it'll be hard to beat a canister light battery canister with a plain flat lid to house your electronics in. Make use of something where the R&D and manufacturing learning curve has already been completed. Darlene |
