| apeks ds4 at low pressure hello, today I testet my rEvo electro, the electronically controlled version of the rEvo CCR I use an apex ds4 for oxigen, and turned down the MP to +/- 3 bar, so not to have to much pressure on the electrique valve but at 20 meter, no more flow when the valve opens or when I push the manual addition button ??? seems the apeks does not follow the depth - related pressure when used at low pressure!!! anyone can explain?????? and before someone asks, no, I did not block the membrane to get constant absolute pressure :-) paul |

| I noticed my valve does not always open at 5-6 bars, although rated up to 6.5 bars and yes, the black plastic plunger is in place regards paul |

The HH uses snaptite valves.. they are rated at ~10 bar, but will still operate up to about ~30bar!!!and yes, the black plastic plunger is in place regards paul The wattmeiser series (and some clones) are probably the most popular solenoid being used for Rebreather designs.. (excluding the custom one AP uses) You should also check your voltage/current. It might not be the pressure, you might not be supplying enough potential... most solenoids require at minimum 100ma to initially operate (rated pressure) the current required gets reduced at lower pressures.. Once the solenoid is open it takes less current/voltage to keep it open..
