| pressure sensors help looking for a good pressure sensor that is small and accurate.<1%error fs. 5volt exciattion amplified output and under 100.00$. i have found a can type that fiils the bill but it is to big 1 inch x 2inch. has anyone found anything that fit the bill. rick |

When I get some time at home, I'll post a site that has 11 bar pressure sensors at a reasonable price. I think I paid about $30 USD last year for them. What's nice about them, is that they need no calibration. From what I understand, they can actually read higher pressures, but they won't guarantee the % error.Darlene

| Re: pressure sensors Cool - sent some emails off. Those look nice and the digital interface is a BIG plus.

We tested the sensors we use in 140 bar helium for a month. The sensor in the data sheet worked fine at the end of that. Some sensors failed in under a minute, and it was not due to the high pressure. I recommend you test all components in this way. It can be done easily: the picture below shows the small chamber we use for this, and some boards and batteries we put inside. The chamber is rated to 600bar (6000m), so is as small as we could make it and still do the job (yes, before anyone asks, it has a safety case, with all stress figures, is tested). Here it is shown for the helium test, so is just connected to the HP port of a regulator. cheers, Alex Last edited by AD_ward9 : 13th May 2006 at 08:01. |
