| Re: homebuild challenge this would be entertaining at best but not necessary as we want to have fun not drama. a video of you diving your work would probably sway some votes I assume. I have already agreed to bring one members entry and will do the same for others if needed. time is getting short , Get er done!

| Re: homebuild challenge When/where is the Rebreather party, and how does one get in if they are not "diving bizness" aka "qualified for DEMA"? In short, if I'm gonna cart a home-build down there, I darn sure am going to do it personally (where it does NOT leave my control during that time) and yes, it will likely still be dripping.

| Re: homebuild challenge ive got a simple BOV that was made from common everyday off the shelf parts, that almost anyone can make for about $150 (including OC Regset) and an evenings time. its alittle stiff, but it functions in air. it hasnt been wet tested yet due to my homebuild still being in the process of being built. would pics be suitable for entry for this, or does it HAVE to be present? its pretty garage tech, but itll work. i made mine for about $100 in parts, including a NIB regulator that i scored off fleabay. if youre interested, let me know. | Re: homebuild challenge Does my avatar count as an entry? That's no shit, operating in full eCCR mode, in my pool this evening. I even played "shark" with my kid in the pool for about a half-hour in an attempt to overbreathe the scrubber (no breakthrough despite my best effort, even with a half-can adapter in and 4-8 instead of the usual 6-12.) To those who said I couldn't - you know what my response is now, right? It doesn't trim bad either - a bit head up but not horrible, and a couple of pounds of trim weights will fix that. Needs a lot of weight on the belt to sink it tho - I'm going to put the steel backplate on instead of the aluminum one, and with a full charge of 'sorb that will add another 4lbs to the unit's weight too. In a 3 mil full suit in the pool (the water was quite cold - its been cold up here lately!) I needed close to 20lbs to sink - it'll be around 10-12 with the SS plate and a full charge. That'll be pretty close to neutral in terms of its "native" trim. Yes, the K1 will be at DEMA. Fully charged, in the event there's an opportunity to use it. What categories do I get into with this? (I think this counts as "put up") If you'd like a larger picture, here it is.... ![]()
