| digital nomad Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Just add water Well done Zepp! Let us know how the pool trial goes. However, having dived an IDA71 KISS extensively, I have a few pointers you may find of use. I too made my first dives with the original Russian hoses and DSV. You will find these are extremely uncomfortable unless you use a FFM. It would be best to witch to a Ray DSV and hoses. Also, you are likely to need about 4kg of lead bolted on the IDA lid to counter the lung buoyancy. A third pointer is on the bailout DV. I too had one on my rig for the first couple of dives. In my opinion a 3L aluminium sidemount is a more practical bailout option. The DIL tank is way too small for escapes. If you decide to keep the DV on, it may be a good idea to install an FCD to prevent gas loss if the diaphragm is pressed accidentally. Last thing, if there is no OPV installed on the O2 1st stage, it may be worth getting it there. I hope this helps. Let us know how you get on!!! Cheers, GKAM |
