| Help with MM PO2 monitor Anyone who has experience with Mark Monroe's PO2 monitor installing in Tecme's housing, I need some construction tips. Here are my main questions, probably more to follow: -how to anchor the board inside the tube? -I have the ring for the magnet where do you drill to install the magnet in the ring? -the ring I have seems tight on the tube, is that normal? - I have a swagelock for the p-post holder and the seaconn for the plug, do I need to use any sealing compound where the cable goes through? - what do I do with the allen head screw in each plug and what is it for? thanks, Dave... |

| Cap Ron scourge of the NW ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Hey Dave, there are supposed to be slots in the end caps to hold the board steady. Im thinking use the swagelok fitting for the end cap, as it is less flexible than the sealcon and less likely to abrade the CL's, they both should be 1/4npt. I might take one and a half wraps of Teflon tape around the swagelok connector before installing, but the sealcon into the P port is plastic to plastic and should seal fine. On mine, I squirted 3m 5200 marine sealant in from the cell side of the p port after the wires were threaded through. Dont forget to solder those molex plugs, ya big stud. Give my bitch a hug for me!!

Give my bitch a hug for me!! Thanks for the reply. Martin was pretty fast getting the parts here eh? The P-post end has been tapped to 1/4 npt so it gets the swagelock, the other end has a larger thread that came with it. There are no slots but I can zip-disk them in. Teflon tape is not going to do it I am thinking an o2 sensor compatable (not rtv) sealant. I tried the tape and it failed the leak test. Plugs soldered. Still haven't figured out what the allen head screws are for. I gave the bitch a hug, she just growled at me. |

| I've built 4 of these now and have had EXCELLENT results. The allen head screws are to secure the end caps into the clear tube. You will need to CAREFULLY drill holes thru the tube. The end caps are drilled and tapped to match. The O rings on the end cap seal it to the tube. The screws' heads keep the end cap from sliding out. At the risk of sounding condecending, please note that the holes need to be drilled and the end plugs drilled and tapped OUTSIDE/BEYOND the O ring sealed volume. |
