![]() ![]() | UK source for good cable glands, cables etc Hi Having done a fair bit of reading on here and much flicking through industrial catalogues, (RS for example), I dont seem to be able to find a good 10bar cable gland. Lots of poor quality ones that arent really for underwater use. So has any one found any? Cheers |

The stainless gland John fitted to my KISS kidney is really nice. I've used the plastic glands in the past that Rapid sell. IIRC they are rated for higher than 10bar and for liquid use. Cheers, Stuart

![]() ![]() | Re: UK source for good cable glands, cables etc Cheers, thanks for the response, I did get a couple from John at N@90, but I'm interested in the ones from Rapid. They have a whole bunch available, couldnt see any stainless though, just plastic and brass and none specifically for working under pressure. A few rated at IP68 which is a rating I have heard mixed reports about when used specifically for diving. Those of you who did buy from Rapid have you got a part number or a manufacturer's name? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: UK source for good cable glands, cables etc If you read through the info on the various glands there is one of the IP68 glands which is rated for pressure and liquids. Don't have the part number but they are (or at least were) definitely there. They were black plastic if that helps. I used them on my homebuilds, never had any issues with them. [EDIT] It's one of these geezers: Rapid Electronics - Index nylon cable glands Rated to 15bar Cheers, Stuart
