Hey all, exploring some options for 'off the shelf' bulkhead fittings to fit home made CL's. do the fittings that are used on pool liners hold the material ok?again, prototyping only, so looking for the el cheapo solution this time around. no p-connectors, custom parts, etc...

| Re: bulkhead fittings for fabric CL's ? Hey, Mike. I've used the cheap ABS ones that you can buy from pond supply companies like Aquatic Ecosystems. They work alright as long as you put a gasket on both sides of the fabric. The neoprene or epdm gasket that comes with the bulkhead fitting is fine, but the fittings are usually intended for use on thicker-walled applications. Buy an extra gasket, put a smear of aquaseal on the fabric-contact side of each gasket, then crank it down. The aquaseal makes a nice security seal and peels off if you ever have to take things loose later on. Hope it helps. Jay

| Re: bulkhead fittings for fabric CL's ? thanks Jay...I'll give the two-seal approach a go. I recall you mentioning making some of your own lungs at one point. I may be in touch for some if your up for selling a few custom ones.
