What do you all think? Mares MR12 (300din) - $179.96 shipped w/ a second stage I can sell (Rebel nitrox) Apeks DS4 (300din) - $145.13 +shipping (each yoke price needs another +$50 or so for din converter =/ Aqualung Titan (yoke) - $204.95 +shipping w/ a second stage I can sell Oceanic CDX5 (yoke)- $206.10 shipped w/ a second stage I can sell off (GT3) Oceanic CDX5 DVT (yoke) - 359.96 shippwed w/ a second stage I can sell off (GT3) (EDIT : on second thought, if using elbows, routing on the Titan would probably be cleanest end edit) I think the hose routing would be best with the CDX5, second best with the DS4... I think the Titan would be most compact, and the MR12 the best deal money wise... As its will be my O2 reg, the DVT sounds promising for helping to keep biologicals and other *stuff* out when washing the regs... Thanks for your time ... -Scott (keywords for searches: 1st regulator mCCR uncompensate uncompensated decompensated) Last edited by Scott : 17th February 2008 at 09:00. |

![]() | Re: Regulator Choice - mCCR I have briefly looked into this myself. All my regs are scubapros and would like to keep ity that way...but.... Its pretty darn hard to look past a DS4 for e99 on tecme.de + e16 for a blanking plate.

I'm thinking more and more about my unlisted option.. the H2Odyssey integrated pillar valve/diaphragm regulator.. but the threads don't match the LAR tanks I intend to use...... -Scott |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Regulator Choice - mCCR If you plan on staying shallow the DS4's are adequate. If you plan to go below 100m or so FAR better options are Aqualung Calypso or Scubapro mk2 - both are cheap/easy to service and dont offer IP boost which is preferable on a manual CCR else the o2 add valve/orifice will be over driven in deep water leading to failure or po2 creep ive had calypso's to 180m, mr12 to 150m, mk2 to 150m all without dramas - the ds4's with or without enviro seals will be problematic as you approach 100m hope that helps Mark |
