| Re: IDA 71 in NZ A bit more progress this week. I managed to get some fittings from McMasters ( Thanks again Brad) and have completed the O2 pneumatics as per Dave Suttons design (Thanks Dave) ![]() I have modified the counter lung for use with a single scrubber and the exhale hose now bypasses the lung completely as seen here.... ![]() I uses 1.2mm thick EPMD rubber and aquasealed it to the lung leaving the existing rubber mounts in place. You need to buff the patches up with some sandpaper but once you do this they stick like the proverbial to a blanket. I also found a nice cheap OPV for only $22.50nz here... scuba diving equipment-scuba gear-nz dive gear shop-ocean equipment nz I guess it is a Zeagle one.

| Re: IDA 71 in NZ Well my 1st pool dive with my unit was a sucess! Found a few things that need changing though. O2 leak from ADV pipe fitting. Dil/inflator tank leak from OPV. Need to add a plate to make the harness more stable. Need to replace the harness (transpac) as its just too big. Need more lead up top. I used 2kgs but perhaps 4kg would be better? What is everyone else using? Need to lengthen the valve knob on my O2 so I can turn it on and off while using the unit. Any simple solutions??? Thanks for joining me Ray. Was good to see your unit in action.

| Re: IDA 71 in NZ No worries Greg, was great to see another new Rebreather diver making progress. Your 71 is nice and light, hope you can keep it that way. As I said, you can have the use of my rEvodream for a while if that will keep things moving along and my old BOV and delrin mouthpiece etc too.

| Re: IDA 71 in NZ 4 KG mounted to the inside of the lid at the top. I tried with 2 Kg & a drysuit & it didn´t work, with 3 kg its AOK. I think that´s the minimum weight you´ve gotta have.Dave .
