| Pros and cons of handsets connected to the loop Hi! What is your opinion of connecting the handsets to the loop to have them in ambient preasure? What I could come up with right now is: +Less likely to leak +Wont implode at depth -Electronics inside could get damaged by water from a flooded loop -Offgassing could occur from the electronic components |

| RBW Member Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Pros and cons of handsets connected to the loop Some electronic components like capacitors do not enjoy the pressurized environment and change characteristics. You would get condensation and corrosion. If for some reason the line gets clogged then you have pressurized electronics that will pop as you ascend. Rich O2 can casue a fire if you have a problem... You could get away with it if you pot them well enough is suppose... |
