| Re: Home made scrubber part # 3104 on this page (Coffee & Coffee Maker Filters )looks about right for you sir. Pretty good price for titanium bits. If you're worried about titanium and HP O2 then they have one in gold. Maybe added to a nice stainless steel percolator. Just take the glass viewport off and plug a loop hose into the hole. The other side of the loop plugs into the spout. Now remember that the lid of a percolator is not sealed but you should be able to add an o-ring without a problem. Good luck and safe diving. PS Don't be surprised if your mates start whistling "I'm a little teapot, short and stout" during the surface interval. Last edited by bythesea : 12th February 2008 at 23:37. | Re: Home made scrubber Ahem,,,quite right,,,just so! I have once again forgotten the yawning chasm that lies betwean english and american. A percolator is a form of teapot for coffee. It has been falling out of fashion since the seventies though. As a child it's bubbling and aroma usually won the battle for my attention in the early Ack Emma. It was far more entertaining than the test pattern on the TV(telly). | Re: Home made scrubber percolator makes the best coffe! But the sofno canister is quite small if you use it for scrubber ![]() True and true! However if you compare the dimensions listed for part #3104(Titanium filter) to CSTMWRKS(Bill) short duration micro scrubber, also here in homebuilders, you'll find them almost identical. I'm thinking you could easily mate the filter to some plumbing bits and have an axial filter of any length desired. Of course for bragging rights a coffee maker based rebreather beats one built solely with toilet fittings as you can piss over the side during the SI without any special gear but you can't brew coffee that easily. PS. Now that I think about it seriously this idea is far to practical for the intent of my original post. Ignore it completely! |

| Re: Home made scrubber Local kitchen store Stainless steel (food container) with plex lid; they usually come in three sizes. you figure that you need a lower screen, an upper screen and perhaps a spring to keep it all compacted. sensors on top. Axially- top to bottom, or down post like the Kiss Classic. Depending on the length and volume- not the bed for radial. You could look a swiss coffee screens but they are darn expen$ive. Another idea is seives - kitchem department again or a screen wire. WIth the wiring please becareful with coating and the chemical reaction. Another thought Bulk through head fittings. You might want to look at this- TP2000 credit given to Will Smithers. Best of luck, Andrew

| Re: Home made scrubber I made one with a 100mm dia PVC tube with a threaded trap. a round piece of alu grid and a filter for ventilator of kitchen (hotte aspirante) a 32mm tube goes throw soda and touch the low grid, cheap, easy to do with some tools. worked fine on a oxy ccr. |
