Hi, had my first test dive today in a cold pool. The breather no. 2 works great. The counter lungs are perfect form me, not to large, not to small. ADV works great, sensitive but without free flow. The flow of the Kissvalve is OK, the controller had to ad not many O2, in the 75 min divetime the solenoid fired a couple oft times only. Have to add 3kg weight on the frame, that is all....uuuuups forgot the HUD, my brother promised to finish it in 10 days. The prototype is just working fine and I selected also my colors

Green, blue and red for the alarms.

Will post more details later

Cheers Ossi

Ossi, just looked at the pictures you added to your gallery, the two rigs side-by-side look fantastic.

Bravissimo!

About the scrubber, is it made by yourself? I talk about the green and orange part.

seeing your job is a real pleasure!

Hi David, this parts are filters used for irrigation systems. They are cheep, the green one is about 20 Euro, the red one only a few bucks. Both works fine.

Ossi,
Are the orange and green scrubber sections two seperate filters joined at the top threaded plate or did you design around a complete filter cartridge? Does the scrubber core act as a clamp to hold the head to the canister? I'm assuming inside the orange section is a tube of delrin or similar material with holes drilled in the sides to allow for gas flow? Did I mention that it's beautifull work!

Hi Robert, the DSV are self made in aluminium and delrin. I made the work on the bench-late, my brother all work on the mill-drill.
We made 3 different DSV for our 3 Rebreather.

Yes, inside the orange filter section is a tube made out of delrin. Its, quite strong and has the necessary holes drilled for gas flow. The scrubber core act as a clamp to hold all together head and scrubberhousing(similar to the scooters from Zeuxo). All parts have minimum one radial and one axial O-ring.
Cheers Ossi

Hi Brad, the green, orange filters are joined together. So the finished scrubber has 3 parts. The scrubber, the spring loaded scrubber cover cap and the threaded ring which holds all together.

Re: New Homebuild no. 2 finished

So? How do you spell McMaster-Carr in Italian? We will have to have the manufacturers name and part number for that filter Very nice work on the spring plate as well. All around it's just a well thought out machine.
