| Ah, at last, Heliox's controller/computer is out and available after a long, long, wait. Sounds like from you guys the DiveDrive kiss electronic is not a true Eccr controller without voting logic/selectable setpoint but a fail-safe oxygen addition system for the kiss Rebreather. One thing for sure the price is acttractive for an average diver. The handset has a cool, sporty and colourful look very much like my pager I used to carry around . Got to wait for stefan to provide more details on the cool set. ![]()

Red Flashing > 1.6 Red >1.35 Green <1.35 to 1.00 Blue <1.00 Flashing blue <0.40 The parachute is activated on the basis of hardware values, eg. mV on the cells. This means that even if the cells are calibrated all wrong the parachute just works on the basis of the raw cells. As a catch all we liked the simplicity. It is designed to be roughly 0.35-0.40 or some variation there of depending on the cell output variations. As it stands the ranges are not at present adjustable." No way to add the VR3 in combo with this unit. If you want to use it you'll need a 4th sensor somewhere else. Not selling the Microdot handsets stand alone to home builders at present. My feeling is this kit looks as sweet as a nut. Anyone used one yet? |

| Re: I guess this belongs here for now, or in the KISS forum, or in new products later! Hmmm; looking good, Vern. I reckon if I had a CK and this thing actually does what it's supposed to I'd be buying one pretty quickly. Then I could put my old meters on my DDD!

I wish the would make something for the SK.... I emailed Phil Straw last week and he said at present they had no intentions on doing anything for the SK unless the demands warrant it....... so it still looks like Shear water as soon as Bruce gets it out...which is suppose to be on or about 01/06 Rob |

Kind of sketchy info on the Tachyon computer. Doesn't say how many gasses it handles. Also, what type of connector? And can you get a male end easily? If that little Tachyon computer can be used to replace the sensor displays and the VR3 I might even buy a KISS myself! Later, John |

| Re: I guess this belongs here for now, or in the KISS forum, or in new products later! It's a shame that the divedrive has some of the hardware built into the CK "kidney". It would make a decent controller for a homebuilt. Not to mention the sweet price. Later, John |

| Total NOOB Current Rebreather/s: | Re: I guess this belongs here for now, or in the KISS forum, or in new products later! Hey guys...I talked with Phil Straw today...and he's now reported they are considering doing something for the SK. It won't be a "parachute" type system like the CK, but it sounds like it will incorporate the MicroDOT and the Tachyon with a custom built pod for the SK's shoulder...still using 3 sensors, but with raw data feeding a special board that will regulate the output to the Tachyon. Let's all hold hands now and pray... -Trey Oh, BTW...I got answers on gas switching as well... There will be no gas list in the unit...it's basically open to WTF ever you want to set it at. Blend on the fly... Last edited by trey : 9th November 2005 at 00:46. |

Let's all hold hands now and pray... Let's hope that whatever pO2 will feed the (so far) optional Tachyon will feed the pO2 to a stock HUD. The one thing the MicroDOT is lacking in my opinion is a stock HUD. It has zero redundancy if the display craps out, a safety setback in comparison to the Jetsam tripple redundant displays. If I read the KISS aftermarket electronics poll and thread correctly, what everyone wants is a HUD, anyway. ![]() Quote: Oh, BTW...I got answers on gas switching as well... So the correct answer would be one gas. Changeable, but not switchable ... .There will be no gas list in the unit...it's basically open to WTF ever you want to set it at. Blend on the fly...

| Total NOOB Current Rebreather/s: | Re: I guess this belongs here for now, or in the KISS forum, or in new products later! Yes, but changable on the fly...so yes, switchable during the dive. He made it sound like it was very quick to do... -T Oh yeah, and the Tachyon would be your redundant unit if the DOT craps out...they're expecting to ship the Tachyon end of December. No ETA givin' on the SK set-up...just an idea on the drawing board right now from what I understand.. Last edited by trey : 9th November 2005 at 00:45. |
