| Anyone up to “no good” with design ideas? Has anyone made their own counterlungs? I had a vision while at an outdoors place the other day. I saw a drybag and started thinking of using that- easy access through the bottom of the bag. What material are folks using for their scrubber cans? Can’t use PVC, or certain plastics like delrin! I was considering using harder plastics such as acrylic but that is questionable. Maybe lexan… Oh- and has anyone converted a second stage to be an adv. I was thinking of plunging the exhalation vents and mounting inline. Hummmm…. Andrew |

| Someone gave me a link to some water bags that i am going to use for counter lungs. They have different size bags, plan on using the smallest size to make it easier since i expect this will be mCCR. Planning on getting some P-ports and installing them into the bags. I want to put drains on the bottom of each bags as well as OVP on exhale bag. Planning on going with Extendair scrubber |

| Same here, looking at MSR bladders for counterlungs. Also looking at using ABS plastic for the electronics "pod" for my IDeA-71, and part of that will be to use the "guts" of an aqua-lung octo that I have, to use as an ADV. |

| Go Nude Or Go Home Current Rebreather/s: | What do you think the SK lungs are made off? Look close at the draw string on the counterlung flap on the bottom of the unit..... I am sure it says MSR on it... Cheers Chris

| Go Nude Or Go Home Current Rebreather/s: | Thanks Phi I may be mistaken, I had far too many beers before Gordon and Kim did the SK presentation back in Feb. I remember Gordon saying somthing about MSR and the Kiss... May have been the CK and not the SK. http://www.uwphotog.com/galleries/kiss/sportkiss.html Cheers Chris

The MSR bags have always been used with the CK since day 1.Obviously Gordon wants to use the same bags on the SK, and he did try in the beginning. However, he found that the shape of the MSR bag was not working with the SK as he would like so he uses the similar shape of the MSR in the SK bags. AFAIK, the SK CL are custom-made. Personally, I would like to change its shape as well to allow easier installation into the housing. |
