| Robocam II dive ![]() This was just taken a few hours ago. The image came from a robot camera I took on the trip with me. A pond some 90 miles from my house with 250 foot average vis. Its my " almost all rubber rebreather " and the DSV made from a PVC Tee fitting. The tank sags way to far on the side with the valve so I will opt for some kind of waist strap to keep it snug to my belly area. Never noticed till I saw this picture! In a few days the parts I ordered for a snog valve should be here so I'll have to get to work on that. Bill

I think you'd have to wear those high heel fins I saw in a post a while back, in addition to fixing the danglies. Vogue is quite stringent you know. ...seriously it does look sleek, the rest... minor adjustments.

| Re: Robocam II dive HOLD the phone- what is a Robot Camera? Sounds great I have two of them. The first one is a steerable video camera with twin thrusters so it can track along with the diver. I have not messed with it in a few years but intend on making the first ROBOCAM smaller and with programable movements some time in 08. ![]() The one that made the image I posted yesterday is the still camera version. About every 20 seconds it will take a picture. ROBOCAM II does not have a thruster system ( yet ) so it just hovers in one place. I would have posted more images but the batteries in the camera gave out! Why have I made these? Would it not be much easier to just bring a second diver along?....... Well this kinda got started with my days in Alaska. Finding a day with good weather, clear water and a camera diver willing to go along was trouble enough. Down here in Idaho weather is never an issue. Finding a diver that is willing to dive here with some nut case who builds his own gear however. I think you can fill in the blanks. Bill

| Re: Robocam II dive So you have a diver operated ROV and a neutrally buoyant timelapse camera? That is more or less correct. No pics of them, they are both ugly as sin in there functionality. Both units accept a "normal" video housing or camera housing. The still camera version has a finger that pushes the shutter button over and over at an even pace till you tell it to stop. I may get it set up with a laser or IR switch so I can tell it to start or stop without getting near it.Too Cool, any pics/stats of them, I'm fascinated ![]() Bill
