| Loop hoses I am currently converting an azimuth to a Kiss system. In it's previous life it's stand (kick-stand) must have allowed it to fall on it's self. This did some outstanding damage to one of the hoses. I contacted O.M.G. for parts and they were very helpful right up until they wanted to know all about my training, So . . . What the hell tell the truth. . . . BAD IDEA!! They want nothing to do with a "converted unit or associated training on same" Ooo ick! I contacted Crush Proof for a source of hoses they suggested a company local to them in Ohio "Portage Quarry Recreation" Good people and fast. The replacement hoses are 19 inches long the original was 15 inches cuffs are 1 inch on one end and 11/2 inches on the other. the wall thickness is .072 inches verses .088 inches is this ok?? at $40 a set a good price and they are honestly new. What to do for training?? Thoughts?? ![]() |

| Re: Loop hoses found in intresting thing on their webb site, build-your-own-hose. Apparently you can get your own custom made hose, I wonder how many you will have to order... Would be great if you could design your own hoses to exactly the measurements you want without having to but lets say 100 pieces. I'm sending them an mail EDIT: Just got a mail back from them saying that I would have to buy at least 250 pieces for approximately 750 dollar. To bad I dont have that money right now. 3 dollar a pieace is a real bargain, anyone wanna split a batch? Last edited by Edvin M : 25th September 2007 at 16:24. Reason: new information |

| Re: Loop hoses What to do for training?? Thoughts?? ![]() Pay a visit here and we'll set you up with a RSDAS course. We'll use a combination of texts to deal with the unique CCR configuration and certify you accordingly. Or you can just do an Azimuth SCC course, you choose. Former would be more valuable. Dave

So it was either do the SCR Azimuth class [not alot of help] or take a KISS class and rent a KISS for an extra $500. Either choice was not ideal for me, so I sold it it and bought a Meg.If I were you, I would try to hook up with Dave Sutton, he has a TON of knowledge and could def help you. I am sure he can get you a course and he is def a great sounding board for your questions. Also Philippe GERIN has a wealth of knowledge as well, he actually built my o2 run for me for my Azimuth. Good Luck

| Re: Loop hoses What is a RSDAS course? I am facing a similar problem...and I teach on other units. I am hoping to have a working prototype by the first of the year or shortly thereafter, and I want to work with someone who has a bunch of time on KISS style systems. I don't want to pay 1500 for a kiss course plus 500 for a rental and not be able to go over my unit, which is very little like a KISS Rebreather...
