Re: A short chaotic synthesis of my IDA-71 modifications

For internal hydraulics i use Rilsan PA 11 4x2 hoses (44 bar) with AIGNEP push in fittings (only 15 bar)
For the diluent line use also a manifold solded in original diluent rigid hose
NOTE
i use also the 1/2 of original quick/disconnect with exernal diluent/bailout tank
internally i have the two srubbers and 1,3 litres O2 bottle and 1,3 litres diluent bottle (the old original external bottle)

Re: A short chaotic synthesis of my IDA-71 modifications

a) as a first stage i use the classic APEKS DS4 with cap to fix IP
b) as filter i use a McMastercarr Filter 10 micron
c) as orifice i use the .003 orifice from the same company that makes them for jetsam.
d) as "OR VALVE" (to protect orifice) i use a Clippard MJSV-1

Re: A short chaotic synthesis of my IDA-71 modifications

the front view with the manual add diluent and oxygen with a couple of Clippard MJV-2 push valve

the external diluent tank hydraulics:
The second port of quick disconnect is completely removed, i use only the first port.
And, in a normal first stage i connect the single port quick disconnect + an overpressure valve.

Re: A short chaotic synthesis of my IDA-71 modifications

The Electronic

I use three (3) oxygen sensor "Analitical Instruments PSR-11-75D"
and three (3) cheap "3-1/2D LCD Digital Panel Meter PM 438"

i subst the original r2 with one of 430 ohm and set the solded jumper for decimals.

no load resistor

i see that the "PM 438" have the important function of "LO BAT" and in "lo bat" the reading is more Ok..
another LED Diplay that i used for experiment when the battery is low give higher value then real whit risk of hipoxia

Re: A short chaotic synthesis of my IDA-71 modifications

as weights i prefer to use some low profile weights of full lead.
more weight little volume, to save the counterlung volume
the total weight is 5,75 kg

Re: A short chaotic synthesis of my IDA-71 modifications

hello, very nice!! especially the lead weights!!

but be careful with the swagelok valves: you will find they block open very easaly if you don't change the spring intenally!!

Re: A short chaotic synthesis of my IDA-71 modifications

Hi Paul....

about the mod of clippard can you tell me the model or type of new spring and how i mount it?

in the clippard there are two spring
one "internal" for return of button and
other under the valve in "external" position

i think to add a new spring externally on the spring under the valve

can you send me a photo of modded clippard?

many thanks

Giovanni
