| Is this stuff ok to use in the loop? I will be installing the Delta P Rebreather Monitor into my COPIS Head properly this weekend and wanted to check if this stuff was OK to use in the head to cover where I solder some wires together.... Heat-Shrinkable Sleeving Cheers Stuart

| Re: Is this stuff ok to use in the loop? I just installed the Shearwater HUD on my KISS not too long ago and used Bruce's tip of using nail polish on the soldered connections. Was much easier (and colorful) to use than liquid tape or heat shrink. |

| Re: Is this stuff ok to use in the loop? That sounds a good idea - any one else tried it - got any thoughts? As soon as I got it in, I can send one of the heads to Bruce to get the latest Shearwater on there - yummy :-) Ta Stuart

| John Routley ![]() ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Is this stuff ok to use in the loop? The heat shrink is fine but similar to bruce i coat solder joints with a plastic sealant first then adhesive heat shrink also any cable end where the outer cover has been striped off i fill with a fine liquid plastic seal to stop any migration of moisture up the cable. kind regards john routley

| Re: Is this stuff ok to use in the loop? Hello Stuart, Yes, you can use heat-shrink. John gave you the way to proceed. I have used neoprene glue to coat the wires.

| Re: Is this stuff ok to use in the loop? So This stuff which is the adhesive one? Heat-Shrinkable Tubing with Adhesive Inner Liner So I am thinking: 1 - Slide on Heat Sink 2 - Solder 3 - Coat with Nail Varnish 4 - Heat up Heat Shrink... That work? Stuart

| Re: Is this stuff ok to use in the loop? What are you going to solder Stuart? If these are two wires do like this: solder the wires - put some glue on the tin and on the cable (let it dry) - put the adhesive heat-shrink

| Re: Is this stuff ok to use in the loop? Going to solder 6 wires together - o the wires that run from the Sensor Carriage cable in the Meg head as they are all neat and lovely to the wires in the cable from the URM.

| Re: Is this stuff ok to use in the loop? There is some in there - but didn't know whether it was a particular type.
