| IDA & wet cells Hi there I took my IDA-71 for its first deep dive today (25m or +/- 83Ft). Not very deep, but I am taking it in stages and building up slowly.. I have 2 x R22D cells with 2 x seperate displays fitted. (much the same position as as Dave's suggestion, One left and the other on the right side of the counterlung) 15 minutes into the dive, the PPO2 displays started differing. At first with approx 0.30 PPO2. I decided to contunue diving, as the one sensor would be above my setpoint of 0.80 PPO2, and the other remained far below 1.6 bar PPO2. At about 25 minutes into the dive, the displays become very eratic, with differences of up to 1.0 Bar PPO2 !! I decided not to risk it any further, and switched to my OC bailout and started my ascent. As the "danger" was resolved, I watched the PPO2 change linear on the ascent, till I reached the surface, What could the reason for the sudden change of readings be? I saw moisture on the one P-connector when I opened the IDA's cell holders. Is this due to moisture? If it is, how can it be prevented, minimised or stopped? If not, what other possible explanations could there be? (PS, after switching to OC baulout, I realised that the WOB on the IDA was less than the WOB on my OC bailout DV.!!! go Russian Engineers go.. )An absolutely amazing unit !! and it really turns heads at the dive sites.... | Re: IDA & wet cells You have something electrical happening other than the sensors proper. Descrinbe in detal the displays and how the mechanics are done (IE Molex: Gold or ? for the sensor connectors), etc. You have some water issue someplace. But it's not the sensors proper, I promise you. Dave
