| Re: Duncan's New Add System Glad I can still teach an old dog a few new tricks! Didn't....I used the BC hose for the O2 side....I sacrificed a used regulator hose for the air side....pictures tomorrow of how it all came out...would have finished last night but went to the sneak preview of Pirates 3.Don't use the 3/8 UNF fittings for a BC hose for breathing supplies, as they are too restrictive. The ones on regulator hoses have quite larger internal bore diameters. They remove the same way as what you just did. LDS's have lpoads of old reg hoses as well. Dave Tom

Tom Got it. You do know that a 9/16-18 02 fitting when drilled out for the internal counterbore accepts the second stage side of a regulator hose? How was the movie? Dave

No I didn't, this hose thing is one thing I have not explored....You do know that a 9/16-18 02 fitting when drilled out for the internal counterbore accepts the second stage side of a regulator hose? Dave I really enjoyed it....perhaps I am easily amused and have always loved pirate stuff.. It was showing on 10 screens and every theater was packed. Here is what the air/bailout/sensor side looks like now.... After some second thoughts, I plan to modify the Sutton Kiss valve and clean up the unit a little more. Then I'm going diving. Tom

| Re: Duncan's New Add System No I didn't, this hose thing is one thing I have not explored.... Ok, well here goes: The second stage hose has a 9/16-18 thread on it with an O-Ring sealed spool that slides into the second stage. That thread is identical to an oxygen fitting (9/16-18 02 fitting) save for the fact that the 02 thread has a bull-nose (non swivel ) seal. So, chuck it in a lathe, drill it out the right size (forget the size but it's a common fractional size) and you now will have a p;lace to mscrew your regulator supply hose. Take it to whatever else you need, pipe thread, etc. Fittings cost under a buck and are available wherever fine rebreather, err.... *welding* 02 is sold... Glad you liked to movie. Never forget the 5 main pirate vocabulary words: Avast! Ahoy!! Aye! Aye-Aye..... and Arrggghhhh.............. Go see this and celebrate every Sept 19th: We insist on it at work. Talk Like A Pirate Day - September 19 So, Avast Swab! Yer has too many hoses on yer octopus, me hearty! Cast that open circuit tentacle back to Davy Jones and swim to the surface like a man if ye loose yer loop........ Remember you not how to "Blow and Go"?... Dave

What's your experience with them ?? Sources ?? Cheers Dan Source is the "Big Yellow Book-O-Rebreather Parts". PN is listed in my parts list at the top of the thread. Been using them for many years with excellent success. Spend a few bucks for the application tool if you will be doing a lot of them, otherwise wire cutting pliers work OK. Dave
