manual diluent addition mechanisms

Hello all,

investigating options for manual diluent addition for a Dolphin conversion. I am aware of modified BC inflators and the like (which may indeed be an option)...anything else that folks particularly like? drysuit inflator obviously will not work in this case since the bags are within the shell on my back

thanks
ML

Re: manual diluent addition mechanisms

We also kicked around the Versa Valves Series B valve.
http://www.versavalves.com/Bseries.pdf

I just called Neff Power
Welcome to Neff Power
and they can get the BLK 2208 in 2-3 weeks for $30.10. Thats the basic valve but you can get a stainless button and PTFE seals as an option. This is the first place I tried. There are probably other sources if you look around. I know Iv'e seen some at a surplus site around $27 but didn't save the link.

Re: manual diluent addition mechanisms

there have been loads of things made for this over the years, and of course there is the set up i make PRODUCT this could be adapted to fit any thing you like, but i've aways stayed away from any thing that ends up looking like a wing inflator and people have a great tendancy to try and help you out some times and put you in more trouble!!
also the clipard vavles in the post above should have the shealded push buttons on them or they get pushed by accident!! ask duncan price as he was stuck upside down in a hole when gas started venting until he poped out and was wedged on the ceiling with a wide eyed look thinking it was the 02....button but it was just the dil button that had been pushed!! he changed them soon after,
kind regards john routley

John,

I like your product for this...do you sell it as a 100% complete package, including the buttons and parts for the port to attach to the lung? I do not have an Inspo/evo to salvage these parts from.

Re: manual diluent addition mechanisms

Arent those the same industrial valves used in rEVO add oxygen/diluent - except they are nickle plated.

They are cheap also.

Cheers

Re: manual diluent addition mechanisms

Hello,

The rEvo uses Clippard MJV-2 valves with an extra spring to be sure that it won't be stuck opened.

I have stripped this valve before and I noticed it has weak spring.

This injector can be configured in many ways.

cheers

i never set up to sell them as a complete set up because they where for inspos and you should have every thing you need to go with the kit.
how would you want to attach it to your unit? in the dose head or into the lung?
