| IDA 71 hose clamps From a previous thread warning about the metal hose clamps inside the IDA 71 counter lung - what are people using as replacements? Are zip ties (doubled up) enough or SS worm clamps or ??? Thanks |

Are zip ties (doubled up) enough or SS worm clamps or ??? Worm clamps (jubilee clips) should do the job ok. Personally i wouldnt use zip ties.....I did away with the 'T' piece alltogether just to be sure. Thanks

| Re: IDA 71 hose clamps I used narrow worm clamps. I then covered the outside of each clamp w/ a wrap of self sealing silicon tape (the stuff that stretches and welds to itself) to provide some chafe protection for the inside of the bag. Zip ties are a great convenience but I only use them in places where they can be easily inspected. The inside of the IDA71 bag is no such place- unless you do the dry suit zipper mod. Ken
