| Inhale CL tear I have a small tear in my mCCR Dolphin inhale bag. Any ideas on how to repair it? The tear is about 0.5 cm so I was thinking of some duck tape as a backing with Aquasure on the outside. My main concern is possible reaction of high O2 mixes with the tape. Any advice? Thanks ![]() |

| Re: Inhale CL tear Not sure about duct tape as a backing due to the type of material and the edges fraying. I know aquasure recommend the use of sellotape as a backing but what the reaction to a high O2 mix would be is uncertain. Correct me if I'm wrong but in my very humble opinion unless the O2 content is at a high pressure the chances of combustion would be minimal and you'd be more concerned with an 02 burn elswhere in the system. Never heard of C/L being O2 clean!

| Re: Inhale CL tear How about a little piece of inner tube or the thin rubber drysuit seal tape? Scuff it with some fine sandpaper, then clean it with alcohol, then brush a thin film of Aquasure into it. When it gets tacky, "tape" it over the hole on the inside. Fill the hole on the outside with Aquasure. When everything is dry, go back and paint some more Aquasure over the patch on the inside (a la drysuit seam tape). Not elegant, but likely effective. Might need to scuff the inside of the bag around the hole a little bit, too. Cheers, Jay

| Re: Inhale CL tear Thanks for all the advice. I have put Aquasure on for now. I will dive it tomorrow and see how it goes. I will be following up on that link for Tear-Aid - my neck seal on the drysuit is looking slightly fragile! |

There are 2 part epoxies that stop off gassing as soon a few hrs. Aquasure on for now. I will dive it tomorrow and see how it goes. | I dived with the Aquasure repair on Saturday for 75 minutes and no problems. However removing the lung for cleaning it appeared that the 'repair' was lifting. I peeled it straight off!!! Back to square one now with 3 days diving in Mull coming up this week-end!! I will be ringing the Tear Aid guy in the morning. |

I fixed a leaking wing several years ago with a waterbed repair kit. She still holds today. You might give it a try.Regards RAL
