| breathing hose suppliers does anyone have a source for a suitable smooth bore breathing hose, specifically a large-D one around 1.75" (about the 47mm typical of the Meg etc). I'm not concerned with pretty collars on the ends or anything..just want something suitable to hose clamp to a DSV for a good seal thx

| Re: breathing hose suppliers I've tried to contact Crushproof several times, but they never get back in touch...perhaps they are not interested in dealing with teh small volumes that the rebreather world offers. thanks for passing that along though!

Funny.... I'm using them as the OEM for the new rig that I am doing design work on, and they have been very good. I'd call them. Telephones work better than email at times. Yes, they will want to sell you 500.... but will sell you 10 if you want them. Take an order for 50 hoses here from the guys and place an order and split it up. Dave

| RBW Member Current Rebreather/s: | Re: breathing hose suppliers I have found Crushproof very responsive and an excellent service. Todd is a nice chap to work with and I thoroughly recommend them. Crushproof are developing a special EPDM for rebreather hoses after we identifed a minor problem with normal EPDM, and this is taking some time. Perhaps it may be the reason for slow response just now until they have the new mix in place: they may be just wanting to give you the best product before taking your order. This is the sort of response you want, really, and I do not think you will have long to wait (a month perhaps). Just hang in there. Alex |

| Re: breathing hose suppliers Crushproof folks got back to me and suggested that there is a 250 piece minium order at $10 each...I'm obviously not at all interested in dropping $2500 for a box of hoses that will end up in the garage. any other recommendations?

| Re: breathing hose suppliers Michael, Most rebreather manufactures will sell such items direct to you. Inner Space (Meg) had their listed on their website for sometime. Steam Machines sells theirs also- EPDM. Alternative Site- Vintage scuba (hoses, cages and one way valves.) There is a listing for the cooper hoses out of Arizona but that requires a prayer. I believe the guys on the mk15 forum are buying those. I would say Dolphin product buy all my contacts are here in Texas. Regards, Andrew

| Re: breathing hose suppliers Jakub, does the Golem BOV (for Meg/clamp-on) use 40mm hose as you posted in the thread, or 47mm as listed in your website? I intend to purchase your BOV with the clamp on hoses, but want to be sure hoses are easy enough to come by. If they are 40mm rather than 47, it is a piece of cake. 47 is a difficult size to come by. thanks ML
