| Air tight lid for my HH CCR Canister Thanks to Tobin at DSS for machining up this lid for me. I was trying to think of way that I could remove the head and the loop from my HH canister to let the sensors dry and rinse and dry the loop between dives on a multiday boat. For instance I go to Truk a few times a year and while there will do 5 - 6 dives a day for a week or two. So in that instance I wanted to be able to dry out the head, rinse and dry the loop between; or at least have the option to do so. And I didn't want to remove the scrubber bag it etc. if I needed to leave it overnight. So I talked with Tobin told him what I wanted and he machined up this lid for me. It's seals with o-rings. I added the vent, it just a thumb screw with an o-ring that threads into a threaded colar that I press fitted into th center of the lid. Similar to the vent on a Pelican case; wll in fact exactly like it since I had a few laying around the garage. The lid seals perfect, I've stored my filled scrubber in it for a couple of days then dived it again and it seems to do exactly what I was looking for. |
