| ANDI Hammerhead Instructor Course in Greece This post has come a bit late, but due to our high season demands we had to work hard to serve our customers on their diving experience during the hot Greek summer... Last June we had on Kythnos Island, Greece an ANDI Instructor Course for the Hammerhead rebreather. Instructor Trainer was Joe Radomski and Aqua Team dive center hosted the event. The course was followed by Takis Vournas, the Greek representative for ANDI and myself. Weather was just perfect, sunny, warm and water temperature 24 Celsius and visibility more than 30m. The longest time we spent working with the unit. It was really fun and very interesting getting all those informations from Joe. I can say that his unique way and his knowledge were the best tools we had. Diving was really fun! From the first moment Joe gave us valuable information how to set, trim and dive the Hammerhead. After several hours we started feeling more comfortable. We spent almost a week with lot of work with the unit (I started to enjoy scrubber packing and go through the long scrolling menu of the handsets). We dived twice a day and we had the longest discussions about Hammerhead, rebreather diving, deco theory and more and more until late night and in between nice Greek food and some drinks under the very clear full of stars sky. After Joe left I started diving Hammerhead almost every day and up to now I have around 100 hours with it. I have been diving mCCR (Submatix) for 2 years but Hammerhead is a completely different unit. Of course there is nothing to compare but the unit gave me so many possibilities to extend my diving experience and knowledge. I used the Hammerhead during all technical courses I taught and all my private diving I did. I have been down to 62m using Trimix or Heliox and the longest dive was 2 hours 4 min. I had never a single problem with the preparation, the checks (I always go through all check lists), and diving. I 'm using a Cochran EMC 20-H computer together with the Hammerhead's set on GF25/85. The longest time I used the Hammerhead was for 5 days, 320 minutes without change scrubber. I have here some images. Our dive center is closed now for the winter season, but we open again next April and we are waiting for those they are interesting of Hammerhead, or any rebreather diver that wants a nice and really silent island for his diving. So silend like his rebreather. My special thanks to Kevin for his amazing machine, to Joe for the loads of information he gave us and his help for any question, ANDI headquarters and ANDI Hellas for helping of organizing this course. Manthos Marras ANDI Trimix Instructor ANDI Hammerhead CCR Instructor Thanks for the write up.. I really enjoyed my time with you guys.. You amazed me with the ease you moved through the water without the use of fins! I know I could not do that! And yes before anyone mentions It, during the class I was not on a HH as I had to bring the two new units to greece with me and carrying a third would have been quite difficult... Its pretty easy to figure out what rig I was diving..
